When sending an email from an application protected by the WAF under Bot Protection, the images are not displayed in the message.
How can I add an exception or allow the content to be displayed properly?

You can set up a condition to skip anti-bot challenge like URL Path Contains those image paths, or image file extensions like .jpg, .png, etc.

Yes, but unfortunately, my WAF installation is running LTS version 8.0.0 for stability reasons.
I did the same thing, but at a general level. It's possible that an LTS version will be released with the improvements from the other versions so that I can have those features.
Thank you.

No, I think you can still set up custom rules for anti-bot challenges with LTS v8.0.0

Carrie, how do I whitelist a bot, for example Googlebot, in the anti-bot option?

Set up an allow rule for an IP group containing all IPs of googlebot. For example, here is the list we found on google's official doc: https://developers.google.com/search/apis/ipranges/googlebot.json

Resolve only allow user-agent googleproxy.
